This research investigates the strategic shift from broad digital marketing to hyperlocal, real-time location-based advertising as a survival and growth mechanism for physical retail in the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR). While e-commerce has historically dominated through convenience and pricing, brick-and-mortar establishments are staging a âHyperlocal Renaissanceâ by utilizing technologies such as Geo-fencing, Bluetooth Beacons, and AI-driven environmental triggers. By analyzing consumer behavior in high-traffic hubs like DLF Mall of India (Noida), Cyber Hub (Gurgaon), and Select Citywalk (Delhi), this paper demonstrates how stores are closing the âonline-to-offlineâ gap. The findings suggest that by delivering contextually relevant offersâtriggered by a shopperâs proximity, local weather, or real-time trafficâphysical retailers can reclaim market share by emphasizing instant gratification and sensory experience, effectively neutralizing the primary advantages of digital-only platforms.
