This paper presents the design, implementation, and optimization of a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control system for a line-following robot using infrared (IR) sensors. The objective is to enable the robot to maintain its path on a predefined line with minimal deviation and smooth motion. Various PID parameter values were tested to assess their impact on tracking accuracy and stability. Results indicate that the optimized PID parameters enable the robot to follow the line accurately at various speeds, showcasing the effectiveness of PID control in robotics applications.
