Islanded DC microgrids are gaining attention as a sustainable and decentralized solution for power distribution, particularly in remote or off-grid areas. One of the critical operational challenges in such systems is maintaining voltage regulation amidst fluctuating loads and intermittent renewable energy sources. This study presents a distributed control-based approach integrated with intelligent algorithms to enhance voltage stability in an islanded DC microgrid. The system utilizes renewable energy sources (solar and piezoelectric), energy storage components (batteries and supercapacitors), and an MPPT-controlled power interface for real-time voltage optimization. Simulation and experimental validation confirm improved performance, showing reliable voltage regulation and enhanced energy efficiency under variable operating conditions.
