The demand for proper car parking management systems has increased significantly wih the f ast increase of cars and city-based areas. Due to manual supervising and they do not provide real-time parking availability information system, traditional parking systems result in traffic jams, time wastage, too much fuel consumption, and pollution. To solve these issues and increase the effectiveness of transportation in modern cities, smart parking solutions are most important [1]. This research article describes the design and development of an Automatic Car Parking System using Arduino and Infrared (IR) sensors, to detect vehicle entries and exits, track the availability of parking spaces, and display parking information without any delay on an LCD screen [2]. For automate parking activities, the suggested system combines hardware elements such an Arduino microcontroller, IR sensors, servo motor, LCD display. The system works in a self- ruling way allowing gate movement, identifying the cars at entry and exit points, and updating the number of parking spaces. Putting it into use aims to reduce human action that helps a bad situation in parking management, reduce traffic, and improve parking as much as possible [2]. More than that, this research carefully studies amazing developments that can be included into the future neural network algorithms for intelligent parking prediction and decision-making [3], blockchain technology for safe data storage and transaction management [4], and renewable energy integration through solar panels mounted on parking structures [5]. Due to high quality, reliability and producing a lot for a given amount of money, the system will be very helpful to the smart city with the basic equipment needed for a business or society to operate and 21st century transportation systems [6].
KEYWORDS
In this research paper, an automated parking system using Arduino technology and IR sensors has been designed. It can monitor the availability of empty slots in the parking area and can detect the entry and exit of cars from the parking area with display of information on the LCD screen [2]. The improvement in management of parking areas, reduction in traffic, and increase in efficiency have been made possible because of the new technology being used in comparison with the previous technology. This new and interesting system is going to be added mostly to the development of smart city infrastructures and smart transportation systems [6].
