Abstract

The rapid growth of technology and digital platforms has significantly reshaped retailing, influencing both consumer expectations and business strategies. Modern shoppers perceive brands as unified entities rather than separate channels, expecting seamless and consistent experiences across physical stores, websites, and mobile applications. Omnichannel retailing addresses this demand by integrating online and offline touch points, delivering personalized, convenient, and engaging customer journeys. This paper investigates the transformation of retail practices, emphasizes the importance of omnichannel approaches, and analyses consumer behaviour within this framework. It also identifies key challenges, including operational costs, supply chain complexities, and data security concerns, and emphasizes the role of technology and innovation in overcoming these barriers. The findings underscore that effective omnichannel practices not only enhance customer satisfaction and brand loyalty but also provide a competitive advantage in today’s dynamic retail landscape.
