Entity authentication plays a key role in securing quantum communication by verifying the identity of participants before exchanging confidential information [10]. This project presents an improved entity authentication protocol for networked QKD systems that uses the Shor code technique in conjunction with the BB84 protocol. The proposed protocol uses authentication qubits, encoded with pre-shared information, to verify the legitimacy of entities in the network. By integrating these techniques, the protocol increases the security level of participant identification through the quantum channel. Extensive security dissects and execution assessments are given to show the adequacy of the proposed convention.
