Abstract

Railway safety is a top priority due to ongoing accidents and security issues. This paper introduces the "RailTel Safety Solutions" project, which is an autonomous robotic system made to improve railway safety. The system creates an obstacle-avoiding robot that can detect and navigate around obstacles on its own. It uses ultrasonic sensors for real-time obstacle detection and can also find cracks in the railway tracks. When an issue is detected, the system logs the exact location using a GPS module and sends immediate alerts to a control station via a GSM communication module. This method allows for real-time monitoring, reduces accident risks, and improves maintenance efficiency.

Full Article/Conclusion

The creation of the railway track monitoring system is an important improvement in maintaining the safety and efficiency of railway transport. With the help of modern technologies like robotics, sensors, and communication systems, the system facilitates the detection of track anomalies and obstacles in advance. This decreases the chance of accidents and enhances the reliability of railway transport in general. Through various project phases, including a feasibility study, system analysis, design, implementation, and testing, a strong and reliable system was successfully created to meet the specified requirements. The system's ability to detect and report track issues accurately, along with its real-time communication features, gives railway operators valuable information to maintain track safety and ensure smooth operations.
