Employee retention has become a critical challenge in the startup ecosystem due to high competition, dynamic work environments, and uncertain organizational structures. Organizational culture is considered a key factor influencing employee attitudes, job satisfaction, and long-term commitment. A strong and positive culture can enhance employee engagement, whereas a weak culture may lead to higher turnover rates. The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between organizational culture and employee retention in startups. The study adopts a quantitative research design, and primary data were collected from 150 employees working in various startup organizations through a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were used to evaluate the relationship between cultural dimensions such as leadership style, communication, work environment, and recognition, and employee retention. The findings indicate a significant positive relationship between organizational culture and employee retention. Factors such as supportive leadership, transparent communication, and growth opportunities were found to increase employees’ intention to stay, while poor cultural practices contributed to higher turnover intentions. The study concludes that startups must focus on developing a positive and inclusive organizational culture to retain employees and ensure sustainable growth.
