Abstract

The Smart Energy Door Mat is an innovative system designed to generate small amounts of electrical energy from human footsteps. In this project, pressure sensors or piezoelectric sensors are placed inside a door mat to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Whenever a person steps on the mat, the pressure produces electrical energy which can be stored in a battery and used to power small devices such as LED lights or sensors. The main objective of this project is to utilize wasted mechanical energy and convert it into useful electrical energy. This system is simple, eco-friendly, and suitable for places with heavy foot traffic such as entrances of buildings, malls, and railway stations. The project demonstrates a practical approach to energy harvesting and promotes the concept of renewable energy.

Full Article/Conclusion

The Smart Energy Door Mat project demonstrates an innovative method of generating small amounts of electrical energy from human footsteps. By using pressure sensors or piezoelectric materials, the system converts mechanical energy produced when a person steps on the mat into electrical energy. This energy can be stored in a battery and used to power small devices such as LEDs, sensors, or indicators. The project helps in promoting renewable and sustainable energy solutions by utilizing everyday human movement. It is simple, eco-friendly, and suitable for places with high foot traffic like malls, railway stations, schools, and offices. Overall, the Smart Energy Door Mat shows that even small amounts of wasted energy can be captured and reused efficiently, contributing to energy conservation and smart technology development.
