Abstract

This study offers an immersive analytics platform that uses augmented reality (AR) to monitor and visualize complex systems in real time. Conventional monitoring techniques depend on two-dimensional interfaces, which frequently fall short of accurately representing vast amounts of multi-sensor data, resulting in diminished situational awareness and delayed decision-making. The suggested system combines wireless connectivity, embedded sensors, and augmented reality-based visualization to overcome these constraints and provide a user-friendly, interactive monitoring environment. The system uses a microcontroller-based architecture to gather data in real time from a variety of sensors, including environmental, motion, temperature, and positioning sensors. After processing, the collected data is sent to a visualization platform via a wireless communication module. Using an augmented reality interface created using Unity, users may analyze complicated data in a spatial and context-aware way by superimposing important system characteristics onto a three-dimensional model.

Full Article/Conclusion

This study offered an immersive analytics platform for augmented reality visualization-based real-time monitoring. The system effectively combines wireless connection, AR technologies, and embedded sensors into a single framework for effective data analysis and display.By offering a user-friendly and interactive interface that improves situational awareness and lessens cognitive burden, the suggested method overcomes the drawbacks of conventional monitoring systems. The system's efficacy was validated by experimental results that showed responsive AR visualization, high sensor accuracy, low latency communication, and dependable data collecting. Additionally, the system's modular architecture makes it simple to scale and adapt to a variety of application domains, including industrial automation, healthcare, and aerospace. Nevertheless, the current system is only a prototype and needs more improvements before it can be used in the real world. Future research can concentrate on enhancing network dependability, boosting AR rendering efficiency, and using cutting-edge methods like machine learning for predictive analytics. All things considered, the suggested immersive analytics platform offers better usability, flexibility, and performance than traditional methods, making it a cutting-edge and effective alternative for real-time monitoring systems. In this study, an immersive analytics platform for augmented reality (AR) real-time monitoring was designed and implemented. The suggested system effectively combines wireless connectivity, embedded sensors, and augmented reality-based visualization into a cohesive and expandable framework. The technology gets over the drawbacks of conventional two-dimensional monitoring methods by fusing real-time data collection with immersive visualization. The system provides dependable performance in terms of sensor precision, data transfer, and visualization responsiveness, as the experimental evaluation showed. While the wireless communication module guaranteed low-latency data transfer, crucial factors including temperature, motion, fuel level, and positional data were precisely recorded and processed. The augmented reality interface greatly improved situational awareness and lessened the cognitive load on users by offering an interactive and intuitive depiction of system data.   The integration of several technologies into a single platform that facilitates real-time decision-making is one of this work's major accomplishments. The suggested method offers a smooth end-to-end solution, in contrast to traditional systems that handle sensing, processing, and visualization as distinct components. Users are able to comprehend complicated multi-sensor data in a more intelligible and context-aware way because to this integration, which also increases operational efficiency. The system also exhibits scalability and versatility, which makes it appropriate for a variety of applications such as smart environments, industrial automation, healthcare systems, and aerospace monitoring. By adding more sensors, sophisticated analytics, or cloud-based applications, the modular architecture makes expansion simple. The current implementation is restricted to a prototype-level system and runs under controlled conditions, despite its benefits. Future research can concentrate on strengthening system resilience, boosting communication dependability in dynamic settings, and incorporating cutting-edge methods like machine learning for anomaly detection and predictive analytics. The system's usefulness can also be improved by enabling multi-user interaction and optimizing AR rendering performance.
