Abstract

Effective communication and Communication skills are essential for students, professionals, and individuals aiming to excel in persuasive speaking. Access to personalized coaching, however, is often constrained by the availability of expert mentors and the limited scalability of traditional training methods. SpeechVision addresses this limitation by offering AI-driven, post-session feedback on user-uploaded Communication videos. The system employs speech-to-text conversion (Whisper AI) to accurately transcribe spoken content and facial emotion recognition (MediaPipe + OpenCV) to capture non-verbal cues, including expressions and emotional tone. The processed multimodal data is then analyzed via the Gemini API, which generates comprehensive and actionable feedback on argument structure, logical coherence, fluency, tone, and emotional expression. Users receive tailored suggestions to refine both content and delivery, fostering continuous improvement. By integrating multimodal analysis with AI-powered insights, SpeechVision provides a scalable, self-guided platform for enhancing Communication and public speaking skills. This approach democratizes access to high-quality coaching, enabling learners to build confidence, clarity, and persuasiveness without dependency on in-person expert supervision. In doing so, SpeechVision bridges the gap between conventional mentoring and AI-assisted skill development, offering an accessible, effective, and modern solution for communication training.

Full Article/Conclusion

The proposed SpeechVision framework demonstrates the potential of integrating multimodal AI analysis with generative feedback systems for personalized communication coaching. By combining speech-to-text transcription (Whisper AI), facial emotion recognition (MediaPipe + OpenCV), and AI-driven argument evaluation (Gemini API), the system provides accurate, real-time, and actionable feedback on speech content, delivery, tone, and emotional expressiveness. This approach offers a scalable, cost-effective, and self-guided solution for improving public speaking and persuasive communication skills, reducing dependency on in-person mentors while maintaining high-quality coaching.
