Manual staff scheduling in [specific context, e.g., busy retail environments or hospitals] often leads to administrative inefficiency, communication gaps, and inequitable shift distribution. This paper presents the development of an Android-based application designed to automate and optimize the scheduling process. The system was developed using the Android Studio IDE with a Firebase/SQL backend to ensure real-time data synchronization. Key features include an automated scheduling algorithm that considers employee availability, shift-swapping capabilities, and push notifications for instant schedule updates. Evaluation of the application involved [mention testing, e.g., usability testing with 20 staff members], which demonstrated a [percentage]% reduction in time spent on scheduling tasks and a significant improvement in staff satisfaction. This research concludes that mobile-first scheduling solutions provide the necessary flexibility and transparency required for modern workforce management.
