Digital transformation and student engagement are critical areas of focus in modern higher education. This project presents the development of a full-stack web application, the Student Connect Web Portal, designed to provide a streamlined, accessible, and user-friendly platform for students to manage their academic journey, access resources, and communicate with faculty and administration. The system utilizes the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) to create a high-performance, single-page application. When a student or faculty member accesses the portal, the system provides a unified dashboard to manage academic information, professional profiles, and departmental communications, simulating a “LinkedIn-style” platform for the university. The core of the system is controlled by a Node.js backend, which processes API requests and interacts with the MongoDB database. This project demonstrates how modern, full-stack JavaScript technologies can be integrated to create a functional, cost-effective, and centralized digital campus, highlighting its potential to solve issues of system fragmentation and improve the overall student experience.
