Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly transformed industries, society, and everyday life. However, the increasing computational demands of AI systems raise serious concerns regarding energy consumption, environmental sustainability, and ethical responsibility. Sustainable AI focuses on designing, developing, and deploying AI systems that are energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and ethically aligned with human values. This paper explores the concept of Sustainable AI and presents key tools and frameworks that support the development of green and responsible AI initiatives. The study discusses carbon-efficient computing, model optimization techniques, responsible AI frameworks, governance models, and sustainability-driven innovation. It also highlights major challenges and future research directions to promote responsible AI development while minimizing environmental and social impact.
