Abstract

This research study explores the concept of sustainable tourism as a means of promoting environmental and cultural conservation in the context of tribal tourism in Uttar Pradesh, India. The paper focuses on the unique cultural heritage and ecological significance of tribal communities in the region and investigates how sustainable tourism practices can contribute to their preservation. A case study approach is employed to analyse specific tribal tourism initiatives in Uttar Pradesh, examining their impact on environmental sustainability, cultural preservation, community empowerment, and economic development. The findings of the study aim to provide insights and recommendations for the promotion of sustainable tourism practices in tribal areas, highlighting the potential for a harmonious balance between tourism development and environmental-cultural conservation.
