Water scarcity and inefficient management have emerged as pressing global challenges in the 21st century. Rapid urbanization, industrial growth, and climate variability have intensified the need for efficient and sustainable water management systems. The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers innovative solutions for real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and resource optimization. This paper explores how IoT sensors, cloud-based analytics, and AI algorithms can enhance water conservation, improve distribution efficiency, and ensure environmental sustainability. The study also discusses practical applications, emerging technologies, challenges, and future directions toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation.
