This research discusses the central position of online customer reviews in determining consumer buying behavior. With the growth of digital marketplaces, customer reviews have emerged as a primary source of product information and exert substantial influence on buyer trust, perceived quality of the product, and ultimate purchase decisions. The research investigates the psychological and behavioral effects of reviews, both positive and negative, pointing to review credibility, quantity, and sentiment. Findings indicate that structured and genuine reviews increase consumer trust and minimize purchase uncertainty, hence playing a crucial role in decision making. This structured overview synthesizes the current academic understanding of how online customer reviews influence consumer purchasing decisions, highlighting the importance of review quality, sentiment, and authenticity in shaping online shopping behavior.
