The production of inhouse oyster mushroom seeds and their use as a dietary supplement to manage Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Oyster mushrooms are known for their rich nutritional content and potential health benefits, including hypoglycemic effects. The study involved the development of a protocol for producing oyster mushroom seeds and flowers, evaluating their physiochemical properties, and assessing their efficacy in lowering blood glucose levels. A three-month study showed a significant reduction in blood glucose levels among diabetic patients consuming the mushroom supplement, suggesting its potential as a dietary intervention. However, further research over a longer period is recommended to fully understand the long-term benefits and mechanisms.
