Tourism and hospitality services are typically fragmented across disconnected platforms for accommodation, transportation, attraction booking, and payment, increasing planning overhead for tourists and limiting digital reach for small-scale providers such as homestays and local agents. This paper presents Travel AI Companion, a centralized AI-powered Tourism and Hospitality Management System that unifies hotel and homestay booking, transportation, attraction reservation, secure payment, complaint management, multilingual support, and AI chatbot assistance within a single platform, built using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript on the front end, PHP on the back end, and MySQL for storage, developed and tested using XAMPP and Visual Studio Code. Eleven functional modules support role-based access for tourists, travel agents, and administrators. A weighted recommendation algorithm, booking validation workflow, and complaint resolution pipeline are formalized and evaluated through functional, integration, system, and acceptance testing. Results across structured test cases show a booking success rate above 96 percent, a complaint resolution rate above 91 percent, and consistently favourable user satisfaction. Findings indicate that consolidating tourism services into a single AI-augmented platform reduces planning friction and improves transparency relative to existing siloed systems, with future work directed at mobile integration, GPS tracking, machine-learning personalization, cloud deployment, and AR/VR tourism support.

This paper presented Travel AI Companion, a centralized AI-powered Tourism and Hospitality Management System addressing the fragmentation of accommodation booking, transportation, attraction reservation, payment, complaint handling, and multilingual communication that characterizes existing tourism solutions in regions underserved by global travel agencies. Implemented using a PHP-MySQL web stack with an AI services layer for chatbot and translation, the system comprises eleven functional modules supporting role-specific dashboards. Formal workflows for registration, booking, chatbot interaction, complaints, translation, and reporting were defined, and weighted recommendation, booking success rate, and complaint resolution rate metrics were used for evaluation. Results demonstrated a 96.6 percent booking success rate, a 91.1 percent complaint resolution rate, and favourable user satisfaction, supporting the conclusion that the integrated approach offers measurable improvements over the fragmented existing-system landscape. Future work on mobile integration, GPS services, machine-learning personalization, cloud deployment, AR/VR support, and predictive analytics is expected to extend the platform's capability.
