Abstract

The construction industry plays a significant role in the economic development and infrastructure growth of every nation. Residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects require the involvement of multiple skilled professionals such as contractors, architects, civil engineers, electricians, plumbers, painters, carpenters, flooring specialists, and other construction workers. However, finding reliable and qualified professionals remains a major challenge for customers. Traditional methods of identifying service providers often rely on personal references, local advertisements, newspaper listings, social media recommendations, and informal communication channels. These approaches are frequently inefficient, time-consuming, and lack transparency regarding service quality, pricing, availability, and professional credibility. As a result, customers may experience delays, poor service quality, budget overruns, and communication difficulties while managing construction-related activities. Furthermore, service providers often face challenges in reaching potential customers and promoting their services effectively in a highly competitive market. These limitations highlight the need for a centralized digital platform capable of simplifying the interaction between customers and construction professionals while improving transparency, accessibility, and operational efficiency. Recent advancements in web technologies, cloud computing, database management systems, and digital marketplaces have created new opportunities for transforming traditional service industries through online platforms. Digital service management systems have demonstrated significant success in industries such as healthcare, transportation, education, hospitality, and e-commerce. Similar technological solutions can be applied to the construction sector to streamline service discovery, booking management, provider verification, and customer communication. A well-designed digital platform can reduce dependency on manual processes and create a structured environment where customers can easily access information regarding service providers, compare available options, and make informed decisions based on ratings, reviews, and professional experience. Such a system can also help service providers improve their market visibility and manage customer interactions more efficiently. To address these challenges, this project presents the True Line Construction Service Network, a web-based construction service management platform developed using the MERN Stack technology. The MERN Stack consists of MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, which together provide a powerful and scalable framework for developing modern web applications. The proposed system creates a centralized marketplace where customers can discover, evaluate, and book construction professionals through an intuitive digital interface. The platform supports multiple categories of services, including contractors, architects, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, and other skilled workers required for construction and maintenance activities. Through a structured and user-friendly interface, customers can search for professionals based on service categories, view profile information, examine experience details, compare ratings, and submit service requests. The proposed system is designed to support multiple stakeholders, including customers, service providers, and administrators. Customers can create accounts, manage personal profiles, search for service providers, schedule appointments, track booking status, and provide reviews based on service experiences. Service providers can register on the platform, create professional profiles, update service information, manage customer requests, and maintain communication regarding service availability. The administrative module plays an important role in maintaining system integrity by verifying provider credentials, managing categories, monitoring platform activities, and ensuring that users comply with platform policies. This multi-user architecture ensures smooth coordination between all participants while maintaining system reliability and transparency. The frontend of the application is developed using React.js, which provides a responsive and dynamic user interface capable of delivering an enhanced user experience across desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. React.js enables efficient rendering of interface components and supports seamless interaction between users and the system. The backend functionality is implemented using Node.js and Express.js, which handle business logic, routing, API communication, and request processing. MongoDB serves as the database management system, storing user records, provider information, service categories, booking details, reviews, and ratings. The NoSQL architecture of MongoDB provides flexibility, scalability, and efficient data management for handling large volumes of information. Security is a critical aspect of any online platform, particularly when managing personal and professional information. Therefore, the proposed system implements secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using JSON Web Tokens (JWT). These mechanisms ensure that only authorized users can access protected resources and perform specific actions within the system. Password encryption and secure session management techniques are utilized to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access. Additional technologies such as Axios facilitate communication between frontend and backend components, ensuring smooth data exchange and efficient application performance. One of the major strengths of the proposed platform is its review and rating mechanism. Customers can evaluate service providers after completing service transactions and share feedback regarding service quality, professionalism, punctuality, and overall satisfaction. These reviews help future customers make informed decisions and encourage service providers to maintain high standards of performance. The review system promotes accountability, transparency, and trust within the platform while contributing to continuous service improvement. The booking management functionality further enhances operational efficiency by enabling customers to schedule services digitally. Service requests are stored in the system database, allowing providers to accept, reject, or update booking status based on availability. Customers can monitor booking progress and receive updates regarding service schedules. This centralized booking mechanism reduces communication gaps and simplifies coordination between customers and service professionals. Experimental evaluation of the developed platform demonstrates its effectiveness in simplifying construction service management. The system successfully integrates user registration, provider management, service categorization, booking operations, review collection, and administrative control within a single digital environment. Testing results indicate improved efficiency in service discovery, enhanced communication between stakeholders, and greater transparency in professional selection processes. The responsive interface and secure authentication framework contribute to positive user experiences and reliable system performance. The True Line Construction Service Network offers a cost-effective, scalable, and user-friendly solution for modern construction service management. By leveraging MERN Stack technologies, the platform bridges the gap between customers and construction professionals while promoting transparency, accessibility, and operational efficiency. Future enhancements may include online payment integration, GPS-based service recommendations, real-time messaging systems, artificial intelligence-based provider suggestions, cloud deployment, and mobile application development. These improvements can further strengthen the platform and expand its capabilities in addressing evolving industry requirements.

Full Article/Conclusion

The True Line Construction Service Network developed in this project provides an effective solution to the challenges associated with traditional construction service management practices. Existing approaches rely heavily on personal references, manual communication, and fragmented information sources, making it difficult for customers to identify reliable service providers and manage service requests efficiently. These limitations often result in communication gaps, project delays, reduced transparency, and customer dissatisfaction. The proposed system successfully overcomes these challenges by introducing a centralized web-based platform that connects customers with verified construction professionals. Through the integration of MERN Stack technologies including MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, the platform delivers a secure, scalable, and user-friendly environment for managing construction services. Features such as provider profiles, service categorization, booking management, ratings, reviews, and administrative verification contribute to enhanced transparency and operational efficiency. The implementation of JWT-based authentication mechanisms further strengthens system security by protecting user information and ensuring controlled access to platform resources. The modular architecture supports maintainability and future expansion while enabling efficient communication between customers, service providers, and administrators. Overall, the True Line Construction Service Network demonstrates how modern web technologies can transform conventional service management processes into an intelligent and accessible digital ecosystem. The platform improves service accessibility, enhances customer satisfaction, promotes accountability among professionals, and establishes a strong foundation for future technological advancements within the construction services sector.
