This project is a desktop-based Weather Application created using Python and the PyQt5 framework for graphical user interface design. The application allows users to input the name of any city and obtain live weather data through its integration with the OpenWeatherMap API. Upon receiving the input, the app retrieves and processes weather details such as temperature, weather conditions, and associated weather codes. The results are presented in a user-friendly interface, displaying the temperature in Fahrenheit, a descriptive label (for instance, “light rain”), and an expressive emoji that represents the current weather condition. The structure of the application highlights the principle of abstraction by encapsulating intricate processes such as API communication, JSON parsing, error handling, and data-to-emoji mapping within modular methods and a single class (WeatherApp).Furthermore, the code adheres to best practices in object-oriented programming (OOP), which promotes maintainability, scalability, and reusability. Error messages are managed effectively, providing informative feedback for various HTTP and connectionrelated issues.Additionally, the application employs Qt Style Sheets (QSS) to improve its visual appeal, resulting in a clean and modern user interface.
