Abstract

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) remains essential for digital visibility, yet professional auditing tools are expensive and inaccessible to most website owners. This paper presents WebAudit, an intelligent, web-based SEO health analyzer and competitive analysis platform. The system automatically fetches and parses the HTML of any public URL using Cheerio.js and evaluates six SEO parameters: title tag, meta description, header structure, image alt text, keyword density, and page speed to compute a composite Health Score (0–100) through a formally defined weighted formula. A distinguishing feature is the Competitor Battle module, which performs simultaneous dual-URL analysis and declares a data-driven winner. All records are persisted in Supabase (PostgreSQL) for longitudinal tracking. The application is built on Next.js 14, Node.js API routes, and Tailwind CSS. Testing across ten comprehensive test cases achieved a 100% pass rate, with a mean audit latency of 1.8 seconds and a Health Score correlation of 87.4% against expert assessments, confirming that a practical SEO intelligence tool can be delivered as a free web application without paid API dependencies.

Full Article/Conclusion

This paper has presented WebAudit, an intelligent web- based SEO health analyzer and competitive analysis system. The system applies a weighted multi-parameter formula across six SEO dimensions to deliver objective, quantified health assessments for any public URL in under 2 seconds. The Competitor Battle module provides head- to-head comparison with automated winner determination, addressing a gap in the accessible tools landscape. Ten test cases achieved a 100% pass rate. The 87.4% expert agreement rate and 91.2% competitor accuracy confirm that professional-quality SEO intelligence can be delivered as a free web application using open-source technologies, without paid API dependencies.
