Abstract

This study introduces the design and implementation of a smart automation system using Arduino and multiple environmental sensors, focusing on efficient monitoring and control of household and agricultural devices. The system is designed to automatically regulate appliances such as fans, lights, and water pumps based on real-time data obtained from DHT11, LDR, and soil moisture sensors and displays values of sensors in LCD. By integrating sensor-based decision-making with relay-driven control mechanisms, the system ensures reliable and energy-efficient operation. Furthermore, the incorporation of a GSM module enables remote monitoring and timely alert notifications to the user. The proposed approach enhances system responsiveness while reducing manual intervention. This work highlights the integration of sensing, control, and communication technologies in a single platform. The investigation contributes to the development of cost-effective and intelligent automation systems suitable for modern applications. The results demonstrate improved efficiency and dependable performance under varying environmental conditions.

Full Article/Conclusion

The proposed Arduino-based smart automation system was successfully developed to monitor environmental parameters and control electrical appliances efficiently. By utilizing sensors such as DHT11, LDR, and soil moisture sensor, the system was able to collect real- time data and make appropriate control decisions. The integration of relay modules enabled smooth and reliable operation of devices like fans, lights, and water pumps based on predefined conditions. The system also incorporated an LCD display to present real-time sensor values, providing a simple and effective way for users to observe environmental conditions. In addition, the GSM module enhanced the system by enabling remote communication through alert messages. The overall performance during testing showed accurate sensing, stable operation, and quick response to changing conditions without any errors. The developed system offers a cost-effective and practical solution for automation in applications such as smart homes and agriculture. Its modular design allows easy expansion and customization, making it suitable for various real-world scenarios.
