The rapid advancement of digital technology has compelled service organizations to adopt integrated software solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This paper examines the need for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation in service organizations, with special reference to Face Prep, an EdTech company based in Chennai. Face Prep currently relies on Excel-based manual systems for attendance and performance management, leading to data errors, duplication, delayed reporting, and reduced operational efficiency. The study adopts a descriptive research design, collecting primary data from 40 respondents through structured questionnaires, supplemented by secondary sources. Statistical tools including percentage analysis, correlation analysis, and chi-square tests were employed. Findings reveal that 80% of employees experience frequent operational challenges due to manual processes, and 85% support ERP adoption. Correlation analysis confirms a strong positive relationship between ERP usage and operational efficiency (r = 0.68). The study concludes that ERP implementation can significantly enhance productivity, data accuracy, employee satisfaction, and workflow management in service organizations.
KEYWORDS
This study concludes that the current manual attendance and performance management system used at Face Prep has significant limitations, including data errors, duplication, time delays, and reduced operational efficiency. Employees face recurring challenges in maintaining accurate records and generating timely reports, which negatively affects productivity, employee satisfaction, and workflow management. The findings clearly indicate that ERP implementation can significantly improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, productivity, and employee satisfaction. Statistical analysis confirms a strong positive relationship between ERP adoption and organizational performance. The overwhelming support from employees (85%) demonstrates readiness for successful system adoption. ERP implementation is therefore strongly recommended as a strategic initiative for Face Prep to achieve operational excellence and sustainable digital transformation.
