The explosive rise of digital communication and social media has changed the people fundamentally consume information. Information becomes available the unprecedented speed and scale. At same time, the very same technologies enable the fabrication and rapid dissemination of disinformation. Verification of each news item in digital space is a time- and resource-intensive process, which may be rendered nearly impossible by the very nature of these new communication technologies and their dynamic, volatile environment. The current reports an paper exploratory study of an artificial-intelligence-based approach to detecting fake news items through an application of language natural processing and machine-learning algorithms. The proposed workflow consists of data collection, text feature extraction, classification, and performance evaluation. The study(Research) reviews existing research on machine-learning, deep-learning, transformer-based, and dataset-driven approaches and identifies important challenges such as dataset quality, domain dependence, changing language patterns, and limited generalization. A practical implementation can compare suitable classification models using accuracy, recall, F1-score, precision, and a confusion matrix. The framework is an intended to the assist in identifying potentially misleading news and to provide an additional layer of support for human fact-checking. The paper emphasizes that an automated classifier should to the treated or as a assistance tool rather than absolute proof that a news claim is true or false.
KEYWORDS
Fake news became one of the main problems in the information space due to the possibility of publishing texts online. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing offer effective techniques and tools for addressing this issue by analyzing large amounts of data and finding patterns specific to each news article. The paper described an AI-based approach to detecting fake news, including the data collection, preprocessing, feature extraction, training, classification, and evaluation stages. The findings demonstrated that conventional machine-learning techniques can still be appropriate baselines in the fight against fake news, although there are more advanced options, such as deep learning and transformer-based networks, which are capable of achieving better performance on more complex tasks. The results also showed that data, domain adaptation, language variations, shifting computational complexity, and interpretability were major challenges in the research.
