The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 represents a transformative framework aimed at restructuring India's education system to meet the demands of the twenty-first century. One of its central objectives is to bridge the gap between education and employability. This study examines the potential impact of NEP 2020 on employment opportunities in India by analyzing secondary data from government reports, labour surveys, and educational statistics. The paper explores how reforms such as skill-based education, multidisciplinary learning, vocational integration, digital literacy, and industry-academia collaboration are likely to enhance employability. Statistical analysis indicates a positive correlation between educational reforms and employment generation, particularly in emerging sectors. The study concludes that NEP 2020 has the potential to significantly improve India's human capital and employment landscape, provided effective implementation and policy coordination are ensured.

The National Education Policy 2020 has the potential to revolutionize India's educational and employment ecosystem. By integrating vocational education, promoting multidisciplinary learning, and aligning curricula with market needs, NEP can significantly improve employability and generate sustainable employment opportunities. Its success, however, depends on effective implementation, adequate funding, and continuous collaboration among government, educational institutions, and industry. NEP 2020 is not merely an educational reform; it is a strategic investment in India's economic future.
