The financial services sector has experienced significant digital advancement in recent years, particularly in mutual fund investment practices. Digital transformation has fundamentally changed how investors access, manage and monitor mutual fund investments. The integration of financial technologies, artificial intelligence, mobile applications, robot-advisory services, blockchain and data analytics has enhanced transparency, accessibility and investment efficiency. This study examines digital transformation practices in mutual fund investment based on secondary data collected from research articles, industry reports, financial institutions and digital finance literatures. The study explores digital innovations and their influence on investor behaviour and the future implications of technological advancements in mutual fund investments. Digital transformation has significantly increased financial inclusion, improved customer experience, reduced transaction costs and facilitated data-driven decision-making. However, cyber security concerns, technological literacy and regulatory compliance remain major challenges. The paper concludes that digital transformation is reshaping the mutual fund industry and creating investor-centric financial system.
KEYWORDS
Cyber security and data protection systems have become essential in digital mutual fund investment because financial transactions occur online. Financial institutions use encryption technologies, secure login systems, fraud detection tools, and multi-factor authentication to protect investor information and prevent cyber threats. When investors feel their financial information is secure, they are more willing to adopt digital investment methods.
