Abstract

Moral values provide an essential foundation for the stability of any society, social discipline, and the holistic development of an individual’s personality. These values guide a person’s conduct while strengthening harmony, cooperation, tolerance, and a sense of justice within society. In societies where moral values are upheld, social order remains balanced, and trust as well as a sense of responsibility develop in human relationships. In the Indian knowledge tradition, the Vedas are regarded as the supreme and most authentic source of life values. They are not merely religious or ritualistic texts but offer integrated guidance across all dimensions of human life—personal, social, moral, and spiritual. The teachings of the Vedas inspire individuals toward self-restraint, a sense of duty, and virtuous conduct. The Vedas provide a comprehensive exposition of both divine knowledge and socio-moral principles, emphasizing the importance of action (karma), truthfulness, compassion, altruism, non-violence, and dharma (righteousness). Through the principle of karma, the Vedas convey that every action of an individual impacts not only their present life but also society and the future. Values such as compassion and altruism nurture humanity, while truth and dharma strengthen character and make an individual socially responsible. Thus, the moral values enshrined in the Vedas play a crucial role in making human life balanced, disciplined, and purposeful, serving as the cornerstone of the Indian knowledge tradition.

Full Article/Conclusion

The integration of Vedic moral philosophy with mathematical modeling presents a novel paradigm in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), where ethical principles are not only philosophically profound but also analytically tractable. By expressing dharma, karma, ṛta, and ahimsa through formal mathematical structures, this study opens new pathways for computational ethics, AI-driven moral reasoning, and socio-mathematical system design. This synthesis demonstrates that ancient Indian wisdom possesses inherent scientific depth, capable of contributing meaningfully to contemporary global challenges in ethics, governance, and intelligent decision systems.
