Abstract

In the modern world, marked by significant economic, cultural, and moral changes, humanity is increasingly facing profound crises over life values. While the rapid development of science and technology brings material comforts, it also increases psychological pressure, social divisions, and moral decay. Given this reality, the search for a solid moral foundation capable of guiding behaviour and nurturing spiritual life has become extremely urgent. In Buddhist tradition, the Eightfold Path is considered the middle path leading to the cessation of suffering, and also a comprehensive ethical system that helps transform individuals and society. The Noble Eightfold Path is not merely a religious doctrine but also a universal practice applicable to many aspects of life. The eight elements of this path include: Right view, Right thought, Right speech, Right action, Right livelihood, Right effort, Right mindfulness, and Right concentration.[1] These are not isolated principles but a closely interconnected system that supports each other in the formation and development of moral character. Through practising the Noble Eightfold Path, individuals can transform from erroneous perceptions to correct wisdom, from negative behaviour to a virtuous life, and from inner turmoil to peace and freedom.
