Abstract

Plain concrete is a widely used building material in India, particularly for medium- and low-rise structures. Although composite construction is less common and steel is still utilised extensively in high-rise structures, it is feasible that composite construction will be more advantageous in these structures. Construction projects frequently use reinforced concrete. To create reinforced concrete, an effective composite material, steel beams are inserted into concrete. Two load-bearing structural pieces that are securely joined and bent into a single piece are hallmarks of composite construction. Comparing composite structures to RCC and steel structures, composite structures are thought to be among the most affordable and fleeting structures. A column with an I-section contained or embedded in concrete, or a steel tube filled with concrete and steel, makes up the majority of a composite structure. Part I is a beam and a plate for the deck made of cold steel plates and mortar. Shear joints that are strong and fire resistant are used to join the beams to the deck slab.
