There is evidence that the performance appraisal process has a significant impact on organizational effectiveness as well as employee attitudes and behavior in the workplace. The purpose of this study is to see how successful is the performance appraisal process in tourism organizations. According to the findings, most companies use performance assessment as a tool to improve employee performance rather than as an “outcome distributer” tool for determining promotions, merit pay, and dismissal. Furthermore, procedural justice in the performance rating process is not ensured to a considerable extent. In addition, many organizations perform ineffective feedback sessions with limited employee involvement, according to the findings. The recommended conclusions and implications can give managers insight into how the assessment process is now practiced and how they can increase the satisfaction level of the employees from these performance appraisal programs and what is the perspective of employees.
